Do you like the photographs, first and foremost, is it your style?? Do you love bold colours and contrasty black and whites - if yes.... brilliant... keep reading! If no... maybe a different photographer is your bag?!
Personality
It’s always a good idea to meet, or chat to at least, with you photographer before you book them. When you actually meet face to face you may gel well together, maybe they crack terrible jokes (maybe that’s not a bad thing). It’s always a good idea to go with someone who you feel confident and comfortable with... especially as you will be spending most of one of the most important days of your lives with this person... you also need to be able to smile comfortably at them too....
....I’m lovely by the way.... I may crack the odd terrible joke, but hey don’t we all?!
I don’t ask you to pose awkwardly and only try to get the best of you for each and every photograph I take on your day.
Price
So at the end of the day, the above two are all very well and good, but what if you can’t afford someone that you love? Don’t just walk away... no no no! Always speak to the photographer that you love most - if they are well out of budget for you, maybe they have an hourly rate or a cut down package that would suit, maybe they are susceptible to a little haggling? It’s always worth a try.
I personally have 2 main packages - £1600 for full day coverage, with two photographers, a complimentary engagement/pre-wedding session & your photographs supplied to you via USB and also on an online album. My cut down version of the above is a Half Day package which covers your Ceremony through to your speeches (assuming they are before your meal) - this would be £900.
If neither suited, or perhaps you wanted just one photographer or wanted an hourly rate or maybe a 3/4 day coverage instead - this is all doable! Just get in touch...
