Klaudyna & Chris’s Wedding at Marischal College

There are some weddings that feel extra special to photograph, and Klaudyna and Chris’s beautiful ceremony yesterday in the heart of Aberdeen was definitely one of them.

I’ve actually been working with Klaudyna for the past five years, ever since lockdown when I first started photographing properties for the holiday letting company she works for. Since then, we’ve worked together regularly, with many trips over to Skye photographing some incredible properties and landscapes along the way. So when Klaudyna asked if I would photograph her wedding day, there was only ever going to be one answer — absolutely!

On a bright blue Aberdeen afternoon, I headed into the city centre and met up with Chris before making our way into the ceremony room at Marischal College. The atmosphere was calm and excited all at once, with guests gathering beneath the incredible gothic architecture that makes the venue such an iconic backdrop for weddings in the city.

The ceremony itself was incredibly emotional. There genuinely wasn’t a dry eye in the room when Chris read out his vows to Klaudyna. Moments like that are always a reminder of why I love photographing weddings so much — real emotion, genuine connection, and memories that deserve to be preserved forever.

After the ceremony, we headed out onto Broad Street for family photographs in front of the stunning façade of Marischal College. With the sunshine lighting up the granite buildings, Aberdeen looked at its absolute best.

From there, we made our way over to Provost Skene's House for some relaxed couple portraits with Klaudyna and Chris — and of course, their adorable dachshund Daphne, who completely stole the show more than once throughout the afternoon.

It was such a joy to capture this wedding for someone who knows my photography and loves it. Klaudyna and Chris, thank you again for trusting me to document such an important day in your lives. Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together — and hopefully plenty more adventures with Daphne too.... I just hope that Kaludyna remembers to get me a shot list sent through before I start photographing more properties for her on Skye this week!
