In a world that can sometimes feel heavy with division, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to show up with intention—not just as a photographer, but as a person. And for me, that comes down to one simple thing: creating space for everyone to feel seen, celebrated, and completely themselves.

Photography has always been about connection. Whether I’m capturing a wedding, a growing family, or working on a commercial project, what matters most is the story in front of me. Real people. Real moments. Real love.
That’s why I want to be clear about something that sits at the heart of my work: I am an inclusive photographer. Whether your wedding is straight, gay, lesbian, trans, queer, or beautifully undefined, I am here for you. Your love is valid. Your story matters. And your day deserves to be documented with care, respect, and genuine joy.

Weddings especially are such powerful spaces—they’re full of emotion, identity, and connection. Everyone deserves to feel safe and supported on a day that means so much. When you invite me in to photograph your wedding, you’re not just booking someone with a camera. You’re choosing someone who will stand beside you, champion you, and capture your day without judgement or assumption.

The same goes for family and commercial work. Families come in all shapes, identities, and dynamics—and that diversity is something to be celebrated, not edited out. In commercial spaces, representation matters more than ever, and I’m proud to work with people and brands who value inclusivity and authenticity.
If you’d like to know more about the values behind my work, I’ve put together a friendly policy that outlines exactly what you can expect when working with me. You can read it here: www.babeinthewood.com/friendly

At the end of the day, there’s already enough hate, noise, and negativity in the world. I don’t want to add to that—I want to push back against it in the way I know best. By spreading a bit more love. By celebrating people as they are. By documenting moments that remind us what really matters.

So whoever you are, whoever you love, and whatever your story looks like—I’m here for it. And I’d be honoured to tell it.
